Quadlets is a free word game. This page explains what data is collected when you play, and how it's used. It's short on purpose — there isn't much to tell.
Your guesses, streak, hint usage, win/loss history, and mode preference
(Daily vs. Practice) are stored using your browser's local storage
(localStorage), directly on your own device. This data is
never sent to any server we run, isn't tied to an account (there are no
accounts), and isn't visible to us or anyone else. Clearing your
browser's site data for Quadlets, or using a different browser/device,
resets it.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall usage patterns — things like how many people play, which features get used, and whether puzzles are being solved. This collects standard web analytics data: approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise), device and browser type, and in-game events such as starting a game, submitting a guess, using a hint, and finishing a round. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information through this site.
Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar local storage to distinguish visitors. You can opt out using your browser's privacy settings, an ad-blocker, or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For details on how Google handles this data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
The only third-party service this site uses is Google Analytics, as described above. We don't run ads, and we don't sell or share data with anyone else.
Quadlets isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
